Carrie Sieren, APRN, CNP, is with the Springfield Clinic Neurology team as a nurse practitioner and sees patients at HSHS St. John's Pavilion. She collaborates with Dr. Naim Khoury.

Carrie earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Chicago and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Carrie served as a registered nurse at Springfield Clinic since 2021.

Taking care of her aging parents is what drove her to start a second career in nursing. "I wanted to make a real difference," she says. "Through my experiences as a patient's family member, I knew that nursing was a great place to make that difference."

Carrie is passionate about creating a patient experience where they feel valued, heard and leave their visit knowing what their care plan is and, most importantly, the why behind their care plan.

Growing up in central Illinois, Carrie supports area groups including the Washington Street Mission, the Central Illinois Foodbank and PB&J Springfield.

In her free time, Carrie also enjoys reading historical fiction, yardwork and traveling with her family.
