Shannon Walle, APRN, DNP, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Neurology team and sees patients at Springfield Clinic 1st - 800 Building. She collaborates with Dr. Cecile Becker.

Shannon earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield. She has nearly five years of nursing experience as a nurse practitioner in the Springfield area.

Shannon chose Springfield Clinic Neurology because of a shadowing experience with our team she was able to have while in graduate school. "Witnessing the high level of care that these providers give while developing close relationships with their patients opened my eyes to how gratifying this specialty can be," she says. "To me, there is no greater reward than to see how a person's quality of life can be improved through health care."

Shannon plans to work with patients with chronic neurological conditions to improve their overall well-being and bring more joy to their day-to-day lives. "I am excited to have the opportunity to build these relationships and bring more positivity and happiness to patients' lives," she says.

When she's not working, Shannon loves to spend time with her husband and two daughters crafting, crocheting and reading.
