Prairie Eigenmann, LSW, is with the Springfield Clinic Bariatrics Weight Loss Center as a licensed social worker and sees patients at Springfield Clinic Main Campus.

Prairie earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill., and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois-Springfield.

"I am passionate about advocating for patient rights and not just mental health care, but physical health care too," says Prairie. "I chose to get my master's degree in social work so that I could continue to help others navigate the health care system."

Prairie is excited to be a part of the Springfield Clinic team. "When a position opened up for a licensed social worker, I jumped at the opportunity to become a part of the organization I have trusted with my own health care for over half of my life," she says.

In her free time, Prairie enjoys going out to dinner with her kids and friends, reading, writing short stories, watching documentaries and spending time with animals, particularly horses.
