Lori Teverbaugh, MD, learned in college that she felt more drawn to the medical field despite originally going to school for graphic design.
"As I went through medical school and the rotations, I got to OB/GYN and just fell in love with it," she says. "The first baby I got to deliver, my first surgery, it just became one of those things that fell into place."
"I was always curious about helping my female family members through their health," Dr. Teverbaugh says. "So I knew I had an interest in helping women with their health and wanted to be an OB/GYN physician."
Dr. Teverbaugh earned her medical degree and completed her residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. She has more than 20 years of experience providing OB/GYN care in the Peoria community.
"The way I practice medicine is to treat my patients the way I want to be treated," she says. "I am that person that will say, 'This is what I think. Now, what do you think?'"
In her free time, Dr. Teverbaugh enjoys spending time with her kids, camping, fishing and traveling.
