Lisa Lyons, PA-C, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Orthopedics Walk-In team and sees patients at the Springfield Clinic 1st - 800 Building.
Lisa earned her Master's of Medical Science degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn. She has more than 23 years of experience in health care, including the last five years as a physician assistant.
A love of science and helping people led Lisa to a career in health care, starting as an X-ray technologist in 1996. Because of her history in radiology, she found a special interest in orthopedics when she was training to become a physician assistant.
"What I love most about non-operative orthopedics," Lisa shares, "is the ability to help patients improve their quality of life, especially when surgery is not an option for them. You never know what is coming through the door at an orthopedic walk-in, and the ability to adapt and pivot quickly keeps things exciting."
Lisa was born and raised in central Illinois, and she and her long-time boyfriend, Richard, are avid gardeners. Together, they enjoy growing and canning a lot of their own food and spending time with Richard’s son. Lisa is an animal lover and her fur "child" Jasper is her greatest joy.
