David Hauslein, MD, provides care with the Springfield Clinic's Anesthesiology Department and sees patients at the Springfield Surgery Center.

Dr. Hauslein earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Carbondale. He completed an internal medicine residency at Southern Illinois School of Medicine in Springfield and an additional residency in anesthesiology at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa.

Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, Dr. Hauslein served as an anesthesiologist in Illinois for over ten years.

Anesthesia is a procedure-driven field that aligns with Dr. Hauslein's passion for providing patients with the best possible perioperative experience and outcomes. A native of Knox County, Dr. Hauslein returned to central Illinois to practice medicine and remain close to his family and friends. In his free time, he is active in his church and dedicates much of his time to raising his growing family.
