Corrie Pirtle, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Cardiology team and sees patients at HSHS St. John's Hospital and Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Corrie earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Benedictine University at Springfield. She has 20 years of nursing experience in Springfield as both an RN and nurse practitioner.
Corrie always had a desire to be a nurse after she experienced the kind and compassionate care of a hospice nurse toward her grandmother. "I fell in love with cardiology during nursing school and would go on to spend more than 15 years in the cardiac ICU," she says.
Corrie particularly enjoys providing cardiac care to the underserved in our community. "I am passionate about educating patients on their condition and helping them obtain the care they need and deserve," she says.
In her free time, Corrie enjoys reading, listening to music and attending concerts, spending time with her family and caring for her house plants.
