Colleen Kirr, APRN, CNP, provides care with Springfield Clinic Pediatrics team and collaborates with Dr. Veronica Savage at Springfield Clinic Pediatrics.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Rush University in Chicago, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago. She also has a bachelor's degree in community health from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She has more than nine years of nursing experience, most recently serving as a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse practitioner.

"Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to make a difference in people's lives," says Colleen. "At first I planned to go to medical school, but coming from a family of nurses I chose nursing school instead." 

Colleen loves providing pediatric care, ranging from wellness to sick care and everything in between. 

"I love being able to provide care through the different phases of a child's life and seeing them grow up," says Colleen.

In her free time, Colleen enjoys baking, interior design, planting, reading and traveling.
