We are thrilled to announce that Melinda (Mindy) Vance, APRN, CNP, with Springfield Clinic Family Medicine is this year's recipient of the Golden Leaf for Clinical Excellence in Advanced Practice Award.

This award recognizes an advanced practice provider who consistently demonstrates clinical excellence and quality of care through evidence-based practice and shows an ability to lead, problem solve and drive successful patient outcomes.

"Mindy is kind and gives patients all the time they need, never rushing," says Kaitlin Henry, MD, who is Mindy's collaborating physician, in nominating Mindy. "I have never met someone as down to earth and nice as she is. She has been working with SC a long time and deserves some recognition for her excellent care."

"As a nurse practitioner, you have consistently gone above and beyond, not just meeting expectations but setting a remarkable standard for all," says Mindy's operations manager, Michelle Moore.

Mindy has been with Springfield Clinic since 1998, first working with Dr. Scott Morton and now Dr. Kaitlin Henry. She also collaborated for a period of time with Dr. Sarah Dietrich in Dermatology. She has 30 years of health care experience in Springfield as well as Missouri.
