Dr. Joseph Conlon, a pediatric dermatologist with Springfield Clinic since 2006, was nominated by his peers and presented the A. Raymond Eveloff Award for Clinical Excellence at the Board of
Directors meeting on Dec. 7. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Conlon has also been our medical director for physician stewardship since 2012.
"Knowing all the people who have been honored with this award in the past and to be on the same list as them, it's unimaginable," says Dr. Conlon. "I always would tell people as they are starting, you know, if you keep the patient first, everything else settles. You know, the golden rule. Treat other people as you want to be treated."
Each year, a physician is selected for the A. Raymond Eveloff Award for Clinical Excellence who has gone above and beyond to ensure the health and well-being of our patients and is an active leader in both our organization and the communities we serve.
"I'm really glad we still have doctors like this in this world," says nominator Dr. Peter Hofmann. "He's in it for the right reasons. And I hope we continue to have doctors like this. I mean, he really is deserving of this award because you talk to anybody that knows him or one of his patients or parents of his patients, he is really a fantastic guy. I think a lot of us aspire to be as good a person as Joe Conlon is."
