    Benefits

    Medical Insurance

Springfield Clinic subsidizes the majority of the cost of health coverage for you and your family. You can choose from two medical plan options and two dental options, plus vision insurance and additional supplemental coverage for further financial protection.

    Medical Insurance

We're committed to providing comprehensive and quality medical coverage at a reasonable cost by offering two comprehensive medical plan options:  Open Access Plus (PPO) and High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Our health partner, Cigna, provides a whole-health approach by integrating physical, emotional, social and environmental aspects of your health.

    Dental Insurance

Your dental health is an important part of your overall health. Springfield Clinic offers you the opportunity to purchase comprehensive dental coverage through Delta Dental. To protect you and your family, Springfield Clinic offers two plan options:  a High plan (increased coverage) and Low plan.

    Vision Insurance

Vision insurance is embedded with the medical insurance and includes exams (eye health exam, dilation, refraction, and prescription for glasses) and discounts.

    Supplemental Coverage

Additional coverage available to all benefits-eligible employees, spouses, and dependent children. Three options available:

    • Accidental Injury

    • Critical Illness

    • Hospital Indemnity

These plans are designed to provide a lump-sum cash benefit if you are injured in an accident, diagnosed with a covered illness, or have an unexpected hospital stay. The benefit can be used to pay out-of-pocket medical expenses and everyday living expenses - no restrictions apply. It provides an additional layer of financial protection when you and your family may need it most.

    Spending Accounts

Spending accounts help you save money by allowing you to pay for certain types of health care and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis. Springfield Clinic offers three types of spending accounts.

    Flexible Spending Account

FSAs allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible health care expenses for you, your spouse and/or your children up to age 26. You decide annually how much money to put aside which is then deducted pre-tax on a bi-weekly basis. Health care FSA annual amounts are immediately available for use as needed.

    Dependent Care Account

If you pay someone to take care of your child(ren) under age 13 or a disabled dependent relative while you work, you may be eligible to pay for these expenses pre-tax dollars from a Dependent Care Account. Dependent care FSA amounts are available as they accrue in your account each pay period.

    Health Savings Account

HSA is a tax-favored savings account (deposits are tax-deductible, growth is tax-deferred, and spending is tax-free) created for the purpose of paying eligible medical, dental and vision expenses.  Contributions to your HSA are deductible up to the legal limit, and the funds are available for use as you add them to your HSA. Unlike an FSA, unused money is not forfeited at the end of the year.  You can only be enrolled in the HSA if you are enrolled in a qualified HDHP plan. Springfield Clinic also contributes annually to your HSA.

    Life & Disability Insurance

When it comes to financial protection, Springfield Clinic provides above industry standard employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage, as well as a variety of supplemental options.

    Life Insurance

Springfield Clinic provides benefits-eligible employees with group term life insurance coverage of 2.5 times your annual salary up to a specified maximum. You can purchase supplemental life coverage for yourself, your spouse, and your dependent children to provide you and your family additional financial security.

    Accidental Death & Disability

Springfield Clinic provides benefits-eligible employees with a matching AD&D benefit. You can purchase supplemental AD&D insurance coverage to provide additional coverage in the case of an accidental death or partial amounts of coverage in the event of a loss of a limb, sight or other permanent loss.

    Short-Term & Long-Term Disability

We offer 100% employer-paid short-term disability insurance that pays you a weekly benefit in the event you can’t work because of a non-work related accident, illness or injury, physical disease, pregnancy or mental disorder.

In addition, we offer supplemental long-term disability insurance that pays a monthly benefit in the event you cannot work because of a long-term illness or injury.

    Time Off, Your Way

Work life balance is critical to a fulfilling career. Springfield Clinic provides maximum flexibility with a generous paid time off program, which includes one PTO bucket for all vacation, personal and sick time—plus, paid time for jury duty and bereavement. On top of that, you have nine and a half paid holidays, including eight and a half paid Clinic-wide holidays plus one additional holiday of your choosing to celebrate what matters to you.
