Urgent Care Plus

About Us

If it's not 911, it's Urgent Care Plus

Coming early 2025! Springfield Clinic is providing patients with an alternative option to avoid the hassles of the emergency room. Our region's first high acuity urgent care, Urgent Care Plus, is staffed with a team of experienced, board-certified emergency medicine physicians, and emergency-trained advanced practice providers (APPs) and nurses.

70% of ER visits are discharged home. We can take these high acuity cases that do not rise to the level of hospital admission. If care needs escalation, we can provide a clear pathway to the hospital.

Frequently Asked Questions

Urgent Care Plus bridges the gap between a traditional Urgent Care and the Emergency Room, offering high acuity care in a more accessible, modern and efficient setting. This service is designed to handle cases that are too complex for standard Urgent Care, but do not require full ER intervention. Urgent Care Plus will not replace ERs but will help alleviate backups in local emergency rooms, improving overall patient care for all.

What makes Urgent Care Plus unique?

  • Comprehensive on-site services: The facility at 350 W Carpenter Street will have blood work, expanded radiology services, IV treatments available on-site — no need to visit multiple locations.

  • Highly qualified team: Urgent Care Plus is staffed by board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians and emergency-trained advanced practice providers and nurses with more than 50 years of combined experience. These are the same physicians you would see in an emergency room.

High Acuity Care: Urgent Care Plus goes beyond cases like sprains, colds and rashes typically seen at Urgent Care and addresses issues such as severe acute pain, dehydration or conditions needing advanced diagnostics.

In some cases, Urgent Care Plus may be less expensive than a traditional ER setting but ultimately a person’s health care plan would dictate final costs to the patient.
