Springfield Clinic LLP (BOC AP# 10033) is approved by the Board of Certification Inc. to provide continuing education to athletic trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 7 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.
Springfield Clinic LLP is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to provide physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists and occupational therapist assistants 7 C.E. hours.
Registration is required to accommodate enough equipment, handouts and workstations for specific sessions.

This course content is not intended for use by any participants outside the scope of their license or regulation.
Review the basics of a total knee replacement and discuss relevant clinical considerations in older adults who remain active in athletic activities.
Develop a rehabilitation program for an active individual following a total knee arthroplasty including key rehabilitation concepts.
An evidence-based medicine review of non-surgical options to treat knee osteoarthritis.
Discuss general concerns of the aging athlete including physiologic changes and aspects of wellness and prevention.
Identify nutrition strategies for optimizing health, performance and building muscle mass in the aging athlete.
Review the basics of a total shoulder replacement and discuss relevant clinical considerations in older adults who remain active in athletic activities.
Develop a rehabilitation program for an active individual following total shoulder arthroplasty, reverse total shoulder arthroplasty and hemiarthroplasty including key rehabilitation concepts.
Helping patients develop strategies for healthy habits and activities of daily living following total joint replacements of the knee and shoulder.
